About the
Author/ Curator

James (Jim) V. McNeely

James (Jim)  V. McNeely was born and raised in the hills of West Virginia and enlisted in the U.S. Navy at 17. Over two combat tours and five ships, he served as an electronics technician, instructor, career counselor, and naval gunfire director. After the military, he earned degrees in Computer Science and Business Management and later studied organizational leadership at the Roy E. Crummer Graduate School of Business.


Jim has led a diverse career across technology, insurance, education, and emergency disaster relief — including work during the BP Oil Spill and Superstorm Sandy. He’s also served as a hospice grief counselor, college foundation board member, and national speaker on communication and personal development.


Today, Jim is medically retired but remains active as a writer and thought leader.

He authored books on leadership and one reflecting the impact of Hurricane Helene on his home.


Through his AIntelligenZ Editions project, he reimagines the world’s great philosophical and literary works with the help of AI — creating fresh, accessible editions for modern readers who seek clarity, purpose, and resilience in turbulent times.


He lives with his wife in Florida.
